San Mateo County is seeking a qualified vendor to provide an advanced medical record documentation system designed to enhance clinical workflows through AI-driven technologies. The system must feature medical dictation and transcription capabilities utilizing cutting-edge speech recognition, ambient listening, and artificial intelligence. Seamless integration with the existing Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) environment is a critical requirement.
Key system features include speech recognition with at least 95% accuracy for medical terminology validated in a live, multi-specialty setting, support for multiple languages relevant to the community, and adaptive learning tailored to individual clinician profiles. The solution should offer voice-activated commands, customizable templates for various specialties, real-time and batch transcription, a user-friendly interface requiring minimal training, mobile dictation with live synchronization, and intelligent features such as confidence scoring and automated error flagging.
The vendor must demonstrate proven bi-directional integration with Epic EHR, supporting tools such as SmartTools, SmartPhrases, and NoteWriter, with direct entry capabilities into Epic Hyperspace, Haiku, and Canto. Compatibility with Epic’s APIs and standards—including Interconnect API, HL7, and FHIR—as well as support for Epic user authentication and context control, is required.
