DESCRIPTION

A vendor is sought to provide comprehensive medical billing services, including preparing, submitting, and tracking Medi-Cal claims for eligible health care services. The selected provider will generate and forward payment requests, verify the accuracy and completeness of all submissions, and ensure claims are filed within required deadlines to maximize revenue recovery.

Responsibilities include tracking payment requests, addressing rejected or incomplete claims by supplying necessary documentation and resubmitting as needed, and reconciling payments received with submitted requests to maintain accurate financial records. The provider must be capable of integrating with Wellpath’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Full administrative support covering medical, mental health, and supportive health service reimbursements is required, as well as guidance and instruction to County personnel on claims procedures and system operations. Workflows should be optimized to enhance efficiency and reduce County staff administrative workload.
