DESCRIPTION

The district seeks a vendor to provide self-funded medical and prescription drug plans, fully insured medical and prescription drug plans, and stop loss products services. The selected provider will assign a billing clerk or representative to the district's account, ensuring timely response to plan participant inquiries regarding billing, eligibility, claims, correspondence, and payments, thereby minimizing district involvement in daily inquiries.

The vendor will offer online access to a variety of standard and ad hoc reports and will furnish electronic versions of reports that cannot be generated online. A dedicated Employer Portal and representative will facilitate administrative support, while monthly billing will be managed in coordination with the District's Payroll Department. Plan participants must have internet access to monitor claim status and access customer service functions.

In-person member-services representatives are required for enrollment meetings, in-service meetings, committee and board meetings throughout the year, providing all necessary written materials to employees. The vendor will also handle the preparation, review, and distribution of summary plan documents, claim forms, and communication materials, as well as the administration and notification of COBRA coverage for separated employees. The contract period is for one year, with questions from bidders due by April 22, 2026.
