A government authority in Stamford, CT is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive architectural and engineering services for multiple facility improvements. The scope of work includes significant accessibility upgrades, such as the construction of a new elevator tower, conversion of existing gang toilets to eight accessible single-use rooms (with a recommendation for six unisex options), and updated wayfinding signage for both accessibility and general use. Additional project elements involve hazardous materials investigation and abatement, floor and lintel repairs, installation of new floors in select classrooms, and coordination for the safe removal of obstructive equipment.

Exterior improvements will include the replacement and installation of all exterior windows (with security glazing required within six feet of grade), manual shades, new exterior doors, repointing and weatherproofing of brickwork, and partial roof replacement where warranties have lapsed. The project also requires preparation of detailed existing condition drawings, coordination with a hygienist for hazardous material sampling, and the development of comprehensive construction documents—including hazardous material abatement plans if required.

Vendors will be expected to participate in schematic and design development phases, provide construction cost estimates, prepare and submit bid-ready documentation, and attend all required meetings and reviews with municipal and state stakeholders. All documentation must reflect feedback from relevant city departments, address hazardous material abatement as necessary, and comply with local and state submission requirements. All questions regarding the project should be submitted by March 12, 2026.
