Lone Star College System
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The Lone Star College System seeks a vendor to provide a mass communication, command, and safety solution. This integrated, cloud–based software must support coordinated communication, incident management, and safety operations for both critical incidents and daily Police Department activities. The solution should be offered as a single package and include a desktop application or web console for Police Department personnel, as well as a mobile application compatible with iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices. Role–based features must be available in both the desktop/web and mobile applications.
The platform must enable secure user login and authentication utilizing the existing Microsoft-based authentication system, support branded interfaces with Lone Star College System and Police Department logos, provide role–based permissions, record all authenticated user actions in an audit log, and allow automatic updates. The mobile app must be available for free on respective app stores and deployable via a mobile device management solution (such as JAMF) for managed Apple devices.
The system must deliver mass communication through various channels, including ADA-compliant telephone functions (TTY/VRS), SMS, email, RSS feeds, and social media distribution across platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
