The state of Utah is seeking a qualified vendor to provide market reporter services focused on the livestock industry. The selected vendor will be responsible for assembling, analyzing, and disseminating production statistics, as well as market and trade information related to demand, supply, prevailing prices, and commercial movements within the livestock sector.
Responsibilities include compiling market information into written reports, uploading reports through an online platform, and releasing timely auction reports on sale days. The vendor will evaluate cattle based on specific agency standards to ensure they meet mercantile exchange specifications, and will maintain strong working relationships with market operators, buyers, and sellers. Additional duties involve maintaining permanent summaries of market activity, applying visual and technical standards to livestock, and reporting on market trends using established technical guides.
The contract for these services will span a five-year period.
