Market Demand Assessment and Digital Platform

A project is seeking a vendor to conduct a market demand assessment and develop a digital platform focused on agricultural data management in Zambia. The feasibility study will leverage existing assessments, including a preliminary market demand analysis, and will require significant collaboration with technical staff.

Key responsibilities include defining a representative sample of farmers across various project sites and value chains to enable accurate yield estimations. The vendor will deliver comprehensive outputs such as farmer profiling, earth observation analytics, agronomic and extension records where available, and integration of climate variables synchronized with crop cycles.

Additionally, the vendor will be expected to design the architecture of the digital platform—specifying whether it is cloud-based or hybrid—as well as defining modules and APIs. Considerations for data governance, user consent, and role-based access must be thoroughly addressed. The scope also includes establishing pedagogical models for farm and loan entities, encompassing farmer identification, geolocation of farms, crop calendars, practice registries, yield histories, input purchases, and repayment tracking.
