SUMMARY

Seeking a vendor to implement a new Management Information System for Colorado's WIC program, including SaaS, integrations, and managed services.

DESCRIPTION

The State of Colorado is seeking a vendor to implement a new Management Information System (MIS) for its Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. The intended solution will enable local health agency staff to certify participants, issue food benefits, record key data such as nutrition education and breastfeeding support, and manage referrals to additional relevant services. The transition aims to enhance operational efficiency, data management, and decision-making capabilities for both state and local agency staff.

Vendors are expected to provide a comprehensive solution that includes a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, integrations with other state and third-party systems, and a detailed infrastructure and managed services plan. Critical components of the implementation will involve support for code migration, software configuration management, change and release management, data retention and archiving, performance reporting, IT service management, and robust use of APIs and web services to ensure seamless operations.

The contract for this project will span five years, during which the vendor will work closely with the health division to ensure the MIS supports all essential WIC program functions, from appointments and benefit issuance to secure data management.
