A government authority in South Carolina is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive managed IT support and security services. The selected provider will deliver ongoing technology support, including help desk and end-user support through remote channels and, if applicable, onsite assistance. Responsibilities cover troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues, as well as providing support via email, ticketing systems, and phone.
The vendor will manage device and system needs, overseeing the setup and onboarding of new devices and users, maintenance of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, software installation and updates, and management of cloud-based tools such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. Security services will include conducting security audits and risk assessments, implementing best practices like multi-factor authentication and endpoint protection, and monitoring for threats and vulnerabilities. Additionally, the vendor will be tasked with managing network infrastructure—covering Wi-Fi, VPN, and general network performance—and providing solutions to connectivity issues.
Strategic IT guidance is also required, including ongoing consultation on technology stack and tools, IT budgeting, and planning for future needs. Recommendations for improving efficiency, security, and scalability of IT operations form an integral part of this contract.
