DESCRIPTION
The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc. for full-service maintenance and emergency support of the Canon CT and Vitrea software at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. This decision is supported by a Class Justification for an Exception to Fair Opportunity, which restricts service agreements for installed Philips Radiology and Imaging Systems to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Philips, under Department of Veterans Affairs guidelines.
All service orders will be issued solely to the OEM in accordance with established federal procurement regulations. Interested firms that believe they can meet the specified maintenance requirements must submit detailed information about their products and services, along with customer references demonstrating their ability to fulfill these requirements. Capability statements must be provided via email no later than 10:00am CDT on March 31, 2026. The government will evaluate responses, but reserves sole discretion to proceed with the proposed sole source procurement if no qualified alternatives are demonstrated.
