The government authority in Providence, Rhode Island is seeking a vendor to provide mainstream benefits programming services. The selected firm will support individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness, especially those with mental illness, medical impairment, or co-occurring substance use disorders, by facilitating their access to mainstream public benefits. This will include providing benefits access and navigation services, performing initial start-up activities, and assisting eligible individuals with the application process for public benefits in line with evidence-based practices.
Vendor responsibilities include tracking program outputs and outcomes and developing a sustainability plan to ensure continuity of the project's activities beyond the contract period. All benefits specialist staff must be equipped to guide clients through application procedures and documentation requirements. The contract will be for a one-year period, with questions due by April 3, 2026.
