The government authority in Bismarck, North Dakota seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive mainframe managed services. Scope of work includes system software and environment installation, upgrades, backups/restores, patching, troubleshooting, and risk/change management to maintain system integrity. The selected vendor will also be responsible for software configuration, installation, test support, and performance management.
The services encompass collecting, monitoring, and analyzing system performance, delivering scheduled preventative maintenance, tuning, and, if necessary, back-out support. The contract also requires annual Disaster Recovery testing alongside storage management services to optimize and maintain the storage environment. Additionally, the vendor will proactively advise the State on technology improvements to enable more efficient data exchanges between the mainframe and distributed environments, with a particular emphasis on supporting the IBM i v7.x operating system.
