The application must automatically select the most economical delivery method for letters, flats, and parcels by analyzing business rules, delivery times, priorities, and transportation methods.
Key requirements include the capability to capture, download, and track postage usage, report remaining balances on meters, and generate spending reports on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. The solution must be web-based, enabling both local and remote access to mail machines.
Additional functionalities should include the use of digital scales for electronically weighing postal and parcel items, as well as comprehensive inbound and outbound mail tracking. The software must also offer scalable cloud-based data hosting.
