Long Term Strategy for Continued Youth Engagement Services

An organization in Nova Scotia is seeking a qualified vendor to develop a comprehensive long-term strategy for continued youth engagement services, specifically focusing on Indigenous-led, Two-Eyed Seeing–guided initiatives. The aim is to support and enhance youth connections with nature and natural ecosystems through land-based learning and nature-oriented programs.

The project scope includes a national scan of Indigenous youth programming in Canada to contextualize the work. The vendor will be responsible for organizing and hosting engagement sessions with community members and collaborators to review past programming, as well as to identify current needs and opportunities for youth engagement. Following these sessions, the vendor will evaluate and analyze the content in collaboration with the project team, culminating in sensemaking sessions.

The resulting deliverables will include a detailed report with actionable recommendations for the agency's future strategy, along with a separate strategic plan for youth engagement in land-based learning. These strategies should emphasize connections to nature-based solutions, fostering long-term relationships with the land, and support for organizational succession planning.
