DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Los Alamos, New Mexico seeks a qualified vendor to provide long range water plan services. The contractor will deliver a comprehensive memorandum within five business days of the project kick-off, outlining the final agreed-upon project schedule to the County’s Project Staff. The service includes discussion regarding the project’s scope of work, relevant planning assumptions, and a timeline to ensure all agency deadlines and meeting dates are met.

Additionally, the contractor is responsible for preparing all necessary data and supporting justifications required for the agency to legally reserve its undeveloped water rights for future use. A key component of the plan is to evaluate the County’s ability to meet projected water demand by utilizing its portfolio of 3,878.91 acre-feet of owned groundwater rights and 1,200 acre-feet of undeveloped San Juan–Chama (SJC) Project rights. The initial contract duration is set for one year, with an opportunity for pre-bid engagement and question submission before the final proposal deadline.
