The City of Hialeah, Florida is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) coverage services. The coverage currently includes all eligible full-time city employees for life insurance, and both active and retired employees for AD&D policies. Currently, approximately 1,171 individuals require coverage under the proposed contract, including 768 active employees and 1,086 retirees covered by the AD&D policy. The life insurance benefit offers a group term life benefit equal to 1x annual salary for each full-time employee, including police and fire personnel.
The selected vendor will assume provision of these group insurance benefits from the existing provider, which has served the city since 2019. The initial contract period will be for one year. Vendors are required to submit any questions regarding this solicitation no later than April 21, 2026.
