Licensing and Support Services for RA600 Workstation Software

The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center (NIH–CC) has announced its intent to negotiate on a sole-source basis with General Electric Company for licensing and support services required to maintain the Technologist workstation for the Department of Radiology and Imaging Science. This workstation enables modification of the structural and demographic components of radiology examinations, ensuring continued and efficient operation of critical imaging services.

This sole-source determination is based on statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302–1, since it is believed only one responsible source can fulfill the agency’s requirements. Interested organizations who can provide the required licensing and support services may submit a capability statement, which will be considered by the government if received by the deadline.

This announcement is not a request for proposal; it serves as a notice of intent regarding the forthcoming acquisition. The final decision to compete this requirement rests solely with the discretion of the government.
