DESCRIPTION

A government authority in New York is seeking a vendor to provide library smart card services. Each library card must utilize an NXP iCode SLI–X, 15693 compliant chip or an equivalent, offering a minimum of 1024 bits of memory. Cards must be encoded with unique barcodes, and each chip should be pre-programmed with barcode numbers that match those imprinted on the back of the card.

The cards are to be constructed from a 12–mil PVC pre–laminate core with 10–mil PVC on each side, resulting in dimensions of 2 1/8” x 3 3/8”. Durable construction is required to protect the printed image and barcode from moderate abrasion. The provider must be capable of accommodating multiple graphic versions and manufacturing quantities ranging from 250 to 100,000 cards. The ability to produce both standard format cards and alternative formats, such as keychain cards, is also necessary.
