DESCRIPTION


The government authority located in Queens, New York is seeking a vendor to provide library smart card printing services. Each library card must utilize an NXP iCode SLI–X, 15693 compliant chip with at least 1024 bits of memory or equivalent. All cards should be encoded with a unique barcode, and the chip must be pre-programmed to match the barcode number printed on the back of the card.

Card construction specifications include a 12-mil PVC pre-lam core with a 10-mil PVC on each side, over-laminated with a 2-mil highly durable PVC layer for extended protection, resulting in a total thickness of 36 mil. Cards should meet current industry standards for printing, measuring 2 1/8” x 3 3/8”, and be constructed to protect the printed image and barcode from moderate abrasion. Orders may vary in quantity from 250 to 100,000 cards per request and must support multiple graphic versions per order.

The contract will last for three years, and all questions regarding this RFP must be submitted by May 27, 2026.
