The State of Wisconsin is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive library services platform, discovery services, cataloging and metadata solutions, resource sharing, interlibrary loan management, and other related library management systems. This five-year contract encompasses full system integration and interoperability, including support for single sign-on using SAML 2.0, Shibboleth, LDAP, OAuth 2.0, CAS, and OpenID Connect. The solution must offer real-time authentication capabilities with persistent session management and automated patron account creation synchronized with authentication credentials.
Seamless integration with Student Information Systems (SIS) is required, supporting automated, bidirectional synchronization of patron data, with configurable field mapping to accommodate multiple SIS structures. The proposed system must include RESTful APIs covering all core functionalities, with backward compatibility assurance for at least two major versions, along with developer documentation, code examples, and a sandbox environment for integration testing. The vendor will be responsible for maintaining and updating integration capabilities and must facilitate the process for new or modified integrations as required.
Robust training and professional development are expected, including comprehensive initial staff instruction on-site, remotely, or via hybrid delivery, as well as role-based training tailored to different staff positions. The selected vendor will provide dependable technical support and system maintenance through multiple channels, guarantee timely responses to support requests, and ensure regular system enhancements and proactive system monitoring.
