DESCRIPTION
The government authority in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive access to current and historical U.S. newspaper databases. The required services include delivery of database access to a wide selection of newspapers, with special emphasis on the Courier–Journal, covering editions from 1830 to the present, as well as other notable newspapers across the country. The vendor must also be able to supply microfilm versions of Courier–Journal publications.
Additionally, the service must include inclusion of a genealogical database featuring records such as census, immigration, military service, birth, marriage, and death records. All newspaper databases provided should offer a searchable collection of articles. Database formats must include both digital and microfilm, meeting library and research standards for accessibility and search capability.
