The goal is to create an engaging platform that enhances patron interaction and ensures effective delivery of physical collections, online resources, and library services to a diverse user base.
Key requirements include the implementation of an intuitive information architecture, fully responsive design optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, and the deployment of a robust, user-friendly content management system (CMS). The platform must feature seamless API integration with various commercially available Discovery Layers. The selected vendor will manage CMS implementation, front-end and back-end development, and provide a hosting solution that covers security, uptime guarantees, regular backups and restores, as well as CMS version updates and maintenance procedures.
