DESCRIPTION
The City seeks a qualified vendor to provide legal notices publication services. The timeliness of publishing these legal notices is critical, as the City must comply with legal requirements for posting meeting or hearing notices, as well as notifications for requests for proposals and bids.
The selected newspaper should use the minimum amount of space necessary while maintaining readability, and may adjust type size and style with city approval. Publications must use a standard 7-point type for the body and 8-point type for headings in the spartan classified style. The vendor is required to furnish two original proofs of publication for each item within five calendar days of publication. Compliance with pertinent government code requirements, including being adjudicated as a newspaper of general circulation within the city, is mandatory.
The contractor must maintain all required City business licenses and insurance, and provide drafts of notices for proofreading by the relevant City department. Submissions and proofs should be receivable via email, and an email address must be provided for ongoing communication.
