DESCRIPTION

A government authority in South Hadley, Massachusetts seeks a vendor to provide mowing services for the Leaping Well Nature Trail, an approximately 0.7 mile natural surface trail. The scope includes mowing a 5-foot wide trail through an open field (approximately half a mile) once per month through November to ensure a maintained corridor for pedestrians. The trail is marked with blaze paint on trees and posts, as well as sign markers for guidance.

The contractor must also maintain a 2-foot wide shoulder of vegetation on each side of the four wooden pedestrian footbridges located along the trail, keeping the vegetation no taller than the height of the footbridges. In addition, the open field surrounding the trail must be mowed once per year. Regular maintenance will promote safe and accessible use of the trail by the public.
