The USDA Forest Service is seeking bids for the Lake Wedington Waterline Construction project in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the Ozark–St. Francis National Forests. This project includes a complete replacement of existing distribution lines and installation of a new potable water supply line. Work involves demolition of current lines and valves, installation of approximately 16,000 linear feet of waterline ranging from 1-inch to 6-inch, and installation of about 6,000 linear feet of 3-inch waterline from Krie Road to the existing Forest Service 22,000-gallon water storage tank.
The contract will be awarded as a firm–fixed price Invitation for Bid (IFB) to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The estimated project magnitude is between $1M and $2M, and the period of performance is 160 days following contract award, with completion required by September 30, 2026. A site visit is scheduled for March 10, 2026, and questions regarding the project must be submitted by March 27, 2026. The project is fully set aside for small businesses under NAICS Code 237110, and includes repair or alteration of water supply facilities.
The scope includes both demolition and new installation to ensure reliable water service for the Lake Wedington Recreation Area, supporting both day-use and campground facilities.
