DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Michigan seeks a vendor to provide joint use pole audit services. The selected vendor will conduct an inventory of all third-party communication fiber and equipment attachments on approximately 17,300 utility poles owned by the agency. Responsibilities include verifying all attachments on BWL (Board of Water and Light) poles, capturing pole attributes such as GPS coordinates, height, and class, and ensuring all data is provided in an agency-approved format suitable for GIS system integration.

The vendor is expected to deliver bi-weekly updates throughout the project and to return finalized data in both Excel spreadsheet and geodatabase (.gbd) file formats. The agency will supply relevant data through File Geo Database or Shape file formats to facilitate the audit process.
