SUMMARY

JIATF 401 is soliciting competitive proposals for innovative commercial technologies and strategies to enhance manufacturing and defeat UAS threats, using a rapid acquisition process through 2029.

DESCRIPTION

The JIATF 401 Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) is initiated under DFARS Subpart 212–70 to facilitate rapid procurement of innovative technologies for the Department of War (DoW) and Interagency Partners. This streamlined acquisition process supports swift award decisions aimed at integrating advanced manufacturing capabilities and cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational readiness, particularly in combating Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) threats.

Contracts may be structured as fixed-price, including fixed-price incentive fee contracts, and will include options for FAR contracts under Commercial Procedures, non-FAR agreements such as transaction agreements under 10 U.S.C 4022, and Cooperative Agreements. Eligible awards span commercial products, services, and non-developmental items, enabling concept demonstrations, agile pilot development, and incremental improvements of commercial and government-owned technologies. The initiative emphasizes rapid integration and innovation to provide superior capabilities to warfighters and may extend past the stated deadline if authority is granted.

JIATF 401 demonstrates its commitment to fostering innovation and effective manufacturing operations by supporting proposals highly relevant to advancing strategies for defeating UAS threats, both domestically and internationally. The CSO is open for multi-phased, competitive proposals through December 31, 2028, with the potential for amendment and extension.
