DESCRIPTION


A government authority located in Santa Rosa, California, is seeking investment advisor services to actively manage the funds of Ag + Open Space in compliance with relevant laws. The selected Investment Advisor will continuously monitor investment opportunities and evaluate the organization's excess working capital, recommending appropriate strategies for the management of other funds as needed.

The Investment Advisor will not act as custodian or take possession of cash, securities, or other assets, and is expected to function solely as a fiduciary for the managed funds. The Advisor must demonstrate extensive experience in investing municipal funds and be registered under the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Investment Advisers Act of 1940. Responsibilities include conducting investment research, providing supervision of managed funds, and implementing a continuous program of investment, evaluation, and, where appropriate, the sale and reinvestment of assets.

The Investment Advisor will be required to regularly communicate with the County and Ag + Open Space regarding investment decisions and strategies, and will provide market and economic information as needed.
