The State of Rhode Island is seeking a vendor to provide a next-generation, IP-based intrusion detection system. This system must enable two-way communication between control panels and field devices, and support secondary failover communications for enhanced reliability. Full remote management capabilities for both panels and field devices are required, along with optional monitoring software.
Integration with existing technologies is essential; the intrusion detection system should be compatible with either the Motorola Alta Cloud video platform or Mercury-based access control systems. Given the presence of legacy Napco Gemini 3200 and 9600 panels in the current infrastructure, the agency requires a clear migration plan or support for these systems during the transition. The new solution should support a hybrid deployment, allowing both legacy and modern components to function concurrently.
Additionally, the agency desires expanded wireless capabilities for field devices, especially for critical functions such as duress and panic buttons. Interested vendors must be prepared to address questions by the specified deadline.
