This RFP invites proposals for the development of an Intelligent Services Architecture for Point Defense, with the goal of enhancing Counter–Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C–sUAS) and Counter–UAS capabilities. The effort supports Air Base Air Defense (ABAD) and key USAF Force Design Mission Areas by addressing critical Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) technology priorities. These priorities include systems that employ autonomy, automation, and effective countermeasures using both non–kinetic and kinetic means against Group 1–3 UAS threats.
The envisioned Point Defense solution will deliver a flexible, intelligent, autonomy-enabled platform that may operate independently or as part of existing ABAD architectures. Vendors are expected to provide agnostic services configurable for specific Areas of Responsibility, adaptable to variable threat profiles, applicable Rules of Engagement, defense planning, and protection of critical assets. The final solution should integrate seamlessly with current force protection requirements.
