Integrated Workplace Management System

A health agency in British Columbia is seeking a vendor to provide an integrated workplace management system (IWMS) to support facility maintenance, capital planning, and project management across its extensive network of hospitals and healthcare facilities. The agency is responsible for managing around 600 active capital projects of varying sizes at any given time, including equipment installations, facility renovations, and large-scale expansions.

The required software solution should function as an enterprise asset management platform, integrating key operational areas such as financial, project, reporting, scheduling, and construction management. The agency oversees tens of thousands of maintainable assets—including HVAC systems, electrical distribution, medical gas systems, plumbing, elevators, and building envelopes—and seeks to transition from its current CMMS, which lacks enterprise-wide capabilities. The system should address inefficiencies stemming from manual, inconsistent workflows, and eliminate the need for duplicate data entry across payroll and procurement systems.

The new platform must offer holistic support for both routine facility maintenance and long-term capital planning by providing consistent asset and space hierarchies, comprehensive project lifecycle management, and robust financial tracking. It should also enable integration with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and BMS (Building Management System) to facilitate data-driven lifecycle management, while supporting improved reporting, analytics, and KPI tracking to aid capital planning and decision-making. The agency aims to streamline project handover processes and enhance the integration of condition assessments into ongoing maintenance and asset planning.
