DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Orlando, Florida is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive integrated pest management (IPM) services. The selected contractor will implement environmentally responsible methods to prevent and control pests across a range of government-managed facilities. The IPM approach will include structural and procedural modifications to minimize pest access, limit availability of food and moisture, and eliminate possible shelter within building environments.

Key elements of the service include identifying pest species, determining and correcting factors contributing to infestations, and deciding on areas where treatment is necessary. Both nonchemical and chemical (pesticide) control options must be considered, with methods selected and implemented as appropriate. Regular inspections and ongoing monitoring are required to evaluate results and detect any new pest invasions. The term of the contract is five years.
