The government authority in West Springfield, Massachusetts is seeking a qualified vendor to provide insurance consulting services. The selected consultant will offer expert analysis and guidance regarding municipal health care, life insurance, and other voluntary employee benefits. Key responsibilities include analyzing monthly claims and utilization data to develop reports and recommendations on financial trends, identifying strategies for cost containment and benefit modifications, and providing monthly reports that track paid claims and those approaching the reinsurance limit, in accordance with the town's reinsurance policy.

The consultant will assist in evaluating employee benefit proposals to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and comprehensive coverage for the town’s workforce. Additional duties include preparing monthly cash flow summary reports, supporting annual renewals and budget projections, offering guidance on finance, administration, and legal aspects, and recommending methods to control rising health care costs, including those related to prescription drug benefits. All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted by March 25, 2026.
