The government authority in Glenwood Spring, Colorado is seeking a provider for insurance broker of record services to support its 2027 insurance program. The selected broker will offer professional brokerage, advisory, placement, claims advocacy, and risk management services to maintain and enhance the agency's comprehensive insurance portfolio.
Key responsibilities include analyzing current coverage, coordinating insurance placements with pooled and commercial markets, negotiating coverage terms, managing renewals and policy documentation, as well as conducting annual exposure reviews and coverage gap analyses. The broker will analyze loss trends, recommend risk financing strategies, and provide claims advocacy for a wide range of complex claims, including law enforcement, detention, employment practices, cyber, property losses, and general liability cases. Additional duties include assisting with reserving and settlement strategies.
Strategic planning and reporting are required, including preparation of annual stewardship and performance reports, development of renewal strategies, executive-level reporting and presentations, and providing ongoing market intelligence and insurance trend updates.
