RFP for insurance and bond coverages for a government authority in Covington, Louisiana, starting July 2026.

Proposals must be received by April 10th, 2026, 3:00 PM.
Proposals must be submitted to 321 N. Theard Street, Covington, LA 70433 or electronically via www.centralbidding.com.
Conventional paper proposals must be clearly marked 'RFP # 210 – INSURANCE AND BOND COVERAGES 2026 – April 10, 2026'.
Submit an original, five copies, and an electronic copy (flash drive, USB drive, or CD) of the proposal.
Property insurance proposals with a commission above 8% (excluding NFIP) will not be considered.
Proposals must be for one-year policy terms.
Propose all lines of coverage as a package, with prices separated by lines.
Include a copy of proposed policies and/or a complete outline of policy coverage, including all exclusions and exceptions.
Provide the full name of each company, its latest A.M. Best's rating, and whether it uses admitted or non-admitted carriers.
Agent/Broker must submit evidence of Errors & Omissions Insurance with a limit of at least $1,000,000.00.
The successful bidder must consent to the exclusive venue and jurisdiction of the 22nd Judicial District Court for the Parish of St. Tammany.
The successful bidder must be authorized by the Secretary of State to do business in Louisiana.
Provide a brief narrative summarizing the company's ability to meet RFP requirements.
State the length of time the company has been in business as an insurance agency.
State the location of the company's principal office.
Identify principal team members with their individual roles and experiences with similar organizations.
Identify the location from which the account will be served.
Provide a minimum of three references from clients of similar size and discipline.
Provide a list of other Louisiana public entities who are current clients, including name and telephone number.
Minimum 'A' rated Louisiana admitted carriers are preferred for General Liability, Automobile Liability, School Board Legal, Employment Practices, and Worker's Compensation.
Property Policies of Insurance must have 8% or less commission, excluding NFIP.
