The Defense Logistics Agency, representing the United States Navy, is seeking information from the industry on innovative and cost-effective solutions for managing Defense Fuel Support Points (DFSPs), enhancing bulk fuels infrastructure, and utilizing underused land and resources to support operational readiness. This initiative is exploring opportunities for partnerships with private-sector organizations to improve the condition of government fuel facilities and decrease long-term sustainment, maintenance, and modernization expenses.
Interested parties are encouraged to share creative approaches to leverage underutilized infrastructure assets, land, and resources for the benefit of Navy DFSPs across all CONUS locations. Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) will help assess the feasibility of implementing such partnerships and strategies but should not be considered as proposals for a contract. The government is specifically interested in methods that can reduce overall DFSP lifecycle costs while increasing their operational effectiveness.
Relevant fields include, but are not limited to, natural gas distribution, petroleum bulk handling, pipeline transport, port operations, logistics consulting, and facilities support services.
