The Defense Logistics Agency, on behalf of the United States Navy, is collecting information from industry regarding interest and capabilities for providing innovative and cost-effective solutions for managing Defense Fuel Support Points (DFSPs). The focus is on enhancing bulk fuels infrastructure, improving operational readiness, and leveraging underutilized land, resources, and infrastructure assets.
Through this initiative, the Navy seeks creative approaches and partnerships with private-sector entities to improve the material condition of DFSPs. Specific objectives include reducing long-term costs for sustainment, maintenance, and modernization by enabling productive use of underutilized Navy-owned property and assets. The concept involves potential agreements to utilize infrastructure, petroleum fuel facilities, piers, and land at various Navy locations within the continental United States (CONUS).
