The Defense Logistics Agency, in partnership with the United States Navy, is seeking information from the industry regarding the provision of innovative and cost-effective solutions for the management of Defense Fuel Support Points (DFSPs). The focus is on enhancing bulk fuels infrastructure to improve operational readiness and leveraging underutilized land, resources, infrastructure assets, and access.
This Request for Information (RFI), issued under the authority of Section 2667 of Title 10, United States Code, aims to gather insights and assess industry interest for potential agreements involving the Navy's non-excess property and resources. The government is interested in creative approaches that can reduce long-term sustainment, maintenance, and modernization costs while enhancing the condition of DFSPs. This may involve strategic use of underutilized land, infrastructure, and assets at various Navy locations within the continental United States.
The information collected will help evaluate the feasibility and benefits of forming partnerships with private-sector entities for productive use of Navy assets and the implementation of innovative solutions for DFSP management and infrastructure enhancement.
