DESCRIPTION

The government authority located in California is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive information technology (IT) managed services. The scope of work includes network and systems monitoring and management, covering servers, network infrastructure, and SharePoint administration. Vendors will also be responsible for Microsoft 365 tenant administration, licensing management for all covered users, and cloud-based SaaS backup and data protection with defined backup frequency, retention, and recovery capabilities.

Cybersecurity is a significant component, with requirements that include 24/7 security operations center monitoring, firewall management with advanced threat protection, and centralized email security. The vendor must provide emergency after-hours and holiday support for non-critical issues, prioritizing remote support before on-site technician dispatch. Additionally, the provider must document and maintain an up-to-date inventory of the managed IT environment, and ensure robust backup and disaster recovery systems, including frequent backups with continuous or near-real-time data capture.

Cloud services will include management of Microsoft Azure and other consumption-based cloud services, billed separately based on actual usage. The contract period for these services is one year, with questions due by May 5, 2026.
