DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Sacramento, California is seeking vendor support for information technology data preparation consulting services as part of the Firearms Information Technology Systems Modernization (FITSM) project. The consulting team will be responsible for data preparation activities integral to the system integrator's efforts, ensuring legacy data and applications are properly prepared for migration to a modern, API-driven architecture.

Tasks include performing requirements analysis to convert high-level requirements into detailed specifications for key project areas. The consultant will conduct comprehensive testing, provide regular progress reports, and deliver knowledge transfer sessions to staff for sustainable operations. Responsibilities also comprise creating test cases for an Angular web application and executing them using Selenium's automation tools, as well as implementing code enhancements, including authentication, audit logs, search functionality, and UI/UX improvements.

Additionally, the consultant will develop an API in Java/Spring Boot to enable data access to CJIS data, along with creating test cases for the CJIS Data Access API. This API will act as a layer above existing services and applications. All questions regarding this procurement must be submitted by March 4, 2026. The contract period is set for one year.
