SUMMARY

Ohio seeks IT asset management software with training, support, upgrades, robust automation, and ServiceNow integration.

DESCRIPTION

The State of Ohio is seeking a vendor to provide information technology asset management (ITAM) software to enhance the management of its IT assets. The vendor is expected to supply both the software and necessary licenses, alongside delivering initial user training, telephone and electronic help desk support, and ongoing software upgrades and updates.

The desired ITAM solution must offer robust automation features, including automated matching of agency-deployed software and hardware assets, tracking of warranty periods, contract details, expiring hardware, and comprehensive lifecycle management. The software should allow for the configuration of Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) roles and permissions in accordance with agency specifications. Additional requirements include automated configuration management for both virtual and shared environments, hardware status monitoring, as well as automation of agency audit processes and procedures.

Integration capabilities are crucial; the product must support direct integration with the agency's ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and facilitate seamless integration with other industry and agency discovery sources. Enhanced data filtering and mapping based on user requirements should be available. The solution should enable the automatic management and reporting of software installations and removals, while also allowing for policy-driven configuration to meet agency property governance standards.
