DESCRIPTION


The Town seeks a qualified vendor to manage and operate a 63,682 square foot, Town-owned indoor activity facility under a multi-year license agreement. The selected entity will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of venue management, including the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the facility, with the goal of providing a regional hub for recreation and community engagement.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive operational policies and procedures, maintaining regular operating hours to maximize community access while ensuring financial sustainability, and creating facility use schedules to accommodate diverse user groups and activities. The operator will also be tasked with programming a range of activities such as youth sports leagues, instructional programs, adult recreational leagues, fitness activities, and community events.

The successful vendor must handle all staffing needs, including recruiting, hiring, and supervising personnel, as well as managing annual operating budgets. Additional duties encompass developing marketing and outreach strategies to promote facility usage, overseeing facility maintenance and custodial services, and maintaining robust safety and risk management protocols. The licensee may sublease portions of the facility if the entire space will not be utilized.
