DESCRIPTION

The selected vendor will provide individual, family-based, and group-based domestic violence intervention services for the government authority in Lansing, Michigan. Required services include individual, family, and group therapy, with a focus on family preservation. This encompasses domestic violence education, counseling sessions, and victim support services delivered to both victims and batterers, as well as their families.

Service providers must offer face-to-face counseling, deliver domestic violence education, teach healthy communication skills, and foster effective interpersonal problem-solving. Comprehensive support must extend to parents or primary caregivers responsible for minor children. Providers are expected to complete a social work family assessment and collaboratively create treatment plans, address self-defeating behaviors, develop personal and relational problem-solving techniques, and resolve dysfunction linked to the mistreatment of children. Additionally, recognizing and addressing patterns of coercive control by perpetrators is required, with attention to the resultant impacts on all affected parties.

The group-based services and family support are essential components, and vendors should be capable of facilitating intervention at multiple levels. The contract will have a duration of three years.
