The State of Utah is seeking a vendor to design, develop, and implement a centralized incident communications management software solution for transit-related messaging. This system should streamline and automate the process of entering and updating incident information across various platforms, including digital signage, trip planning tools, alerts, social media channels, and the agency’s website.
The software must provide a single, integrated platform that centralizes incident communication workflows and automates message distribution to multiple external communication channels. Key features include passenger opt-in capabilities for notifications via multiple channels such as a mobile application, and support for multiple users through a standardized interface for real-time incident entry and outbound messaging.
Integration with existing data and communication sources is essential, including compatibility with social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), email systems, SMS delivery, and a range of digital signage solutions such as Penta WavWriter, Papercast, E-Paper, Daktronics, OVX, onboard signage, and bus headers. The contract for this project will span three years.
