DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Michigan seeks a vendor to provide in-home family services aimed at supporting families at risk of child removal due to abuse or neglect. Services are intended to enhance parental confidence and competence, creating a healthy and safe environment for children.

Vendors will deliver family preservation services to families with an open prevention services case. Responsibilities include assigning qualified program supervisors to oversee casework and supervise in-home workers, who must maintain flexible schedules to accommodate clients during non-traditional hours. Providers will develop a written service plan with each client within 30 days of the initial home visit. Individualized services will be conducted in the home at least once per week, with visits lasting at least one hour, for up to six months per client.

Service delivery includes supporting parents in areas such as child development, effective communication, active listening, and establishing behavioral boundaries. Assistance includes helping clients access transportation and community resources, including providing transportation when needed.
