The City of Raleigh, NC, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide in-cab technology services for its waste collection fleet. The desired CabLink ecosystem will integrate in-cab tablets, onboard vehicle sensors—including actuators, GPS, and cameras—and supervisor dashboards via a centralized data management platform. This system must facilitate the collection of real-time data from trucks, drivers, and collection routes to support analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making.
Key requirements include automating the documentation of service completion, missed stops, and exceptions using photo and sensor-based verification. The vendor must also supply in-cab truck technology that provides route-based navigation and progress tracking tools to improve service accuracy and efficiency. The system will support digital vehicle safety inspections, enhance driver accountability, and streamline incident reporting. Additionally, analysts must be equipped with modern, GIS-compatible software for designing, modifying, and optimizing waste collection routes, using parameters specific to the industry. Intelligent features, such as AI-powered modules and sensors, should be integrated to improve operational visibility and customer service, including the pilot deployment of an AI detection module on 8–10 trucks within six months.
Vendors are required to submit any questions regarding the RFP by January 23, 2026.
