Louisiana is seeking a qualified vendor to assess and modernize its Immunization Information System (IIS). The objective is to ensure high-quality immunization data is available for personal, clinical, and public health decision-making. The selected vendor will evaluate the current system, focusing on data quality, technology infrastructure, and interoperability with other health IT systems.
Key responsibilities include developing an implementation and recommendation plan that addresses prioritized areas for modernization, as well as identifying issues, barriers, and roadblocks that may hinder successful execution. The assessment will involve examining business models and industry best practices for solution development and implementation, with the ultimate goal of improving IIS technology, data management, data linkage, and interoperability between the state IIS and other health information systems.
