The Department of Health and Human Services, Indian Health Service (IHS), intends to issue a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to iCAD, Inc. for the renewal and continuation of 2D/3D Detection Per Exam Licenses supporting the 3D Mammography (Digital Breast Tomosynthesis) suite at Fort Belknap Hospital in Harlem, Montana.
The solution provides an advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform designed to assist radiologists during mammogram interpretation, with built-in capabilities to improve diagnostic accuracy and reinforce system security through continuous software upgrades. The system is proprietary to iCAD, Inc. and utilizes a unique, FDA-cleared deep learning algorithm that no other vendor is authorized to supply or maintain. The anticipated contract is for a 12-month base period with four additional 12-month options.
This procurement is justified on a sole source basis given the proprietary nature of the required technology, ensuring seamless integration and ongoing support.
