DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Grand Forks, North Dakota is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive HVAC construction system. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of the existing air HVAC unit and any associated components that are no longer required. Any unused ductwork, including air intakes, will also be removed as part of the project.

The selected contractor will install a new rooftop unit (RTU) with adequate tonnage capacity to meet facility needs. Additionally, all proposed roof penetrations and the weight of the new RTU and related roof-mounted equipment must be evaluated by a structural engineer to verify the precast double tee roof's load-bearing capacity. All roof-mounted equipment and penetrations must be sealed properly and designed for easy replacement in the future.

The proposal should prioritize energy efficiency to help reduce ongoing heating and cooling costs. Other responsibilities include providing any required subcontractors, managing temperature controls, power and control wiring, painting, cranes, securing permits, and including costs for bonds and insurance. The contract will have a duration of one year.
