The government authority in New Jersey is seeking a vendor to provide cloud-based hosting for virtualized servers, comprehensive backup and maintenance solutions, as well as help desk and network support services. The scope includes hosting the city’s virtualized servers within a Tier III certified data center, ensuring robust backup, failover, and ongoing maintenance.
The vendor will be responsible for providing per-incident, second-level support for the city’s installed base of Windows 10 desktops, with services offered remotely, on-site, and during emergencies. The infrastructure comprises 10 virtualized servers and 2 local servers running SQL Windows 2016, 2019, and 2022. Enhanced security features are required, including cloud-based security, ransomware protection, virus and malware safeguards, and an enterprise-level content management firewall.
A custom, multi-level backup architecture must be included, featuring frequent backup points throughout the business day without impacting staff usability, seven years of mailbox retention, and one year of data backup. Emergency level 3 support must be provided at every location. The team should include a Microsoft systems engineer, Azure solutions architect, Cisco certified engineer, and a cloud engineer. The contract will be for one year.
